Do all telescopes view a distant object upside down?

I was told that astronomy telescopes reflect and/or refract a distant object so that when it is viewed, the object is actually upside down. I would like to purchase a moderately high power telescope for viewing out across large expanses of land and water, and don't want to view things upside down. Can you recommend some good manufacturers of those kinds of telescopes.

Thanks much for your time.
